Do you have a product or business idea that you are looking for help with? Yukonstruct is hosting an information session with local and national research, advisory and funding institutions. Come down and learn about assistance available for research, patenting, and business development.

1) IRAP – Industrial Research Assistance Program:

Martyn Ward is an Industrial Technology Advisor (ITA) with the National Research Council Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). IRAP is Canada’s premier innovation assistance program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and helps Canadian SMEs to grow stronger, faster, and bigger through innovation and technology. IRAP helps firms to develop and commercialize technologies in a global marketplace by providing technical and business advisory services and financial assistance.

2) Cold Climate Innovation – Yukon Research Center:

Cold Climate Innovation (CCI) is focused on the development, commercialization and export of sustainable cold climate technologies and related solutions for subarctic regions around the world. CCI supports the partnership between applied scientific researchers, industry and government dedicated to addressing cold climate issues affecting northerners.
CCI project areas include alternative energy, building construction, climate-related research, environmental remediation, food security and mechanical innovation.

3) Yukon Government –Department of Economic Development.

Economic Development’s Mandate:
To develop a sustainable and competitive Yukon economy to enrich the quality of life of all Yukoners; to pursue economic initiatives with a shared vision of prosperity, partnerships and innovation; and to forge partnerships with First Nations in the economic development of the territory.
