Yukon Women in Trades and Technology will be using the Woodshop for a special event. This year’s Young Women Exploring Trades Conference will be opened to all high school girls from Yukon communities and grade 8 girls from Whitehorse up to a capacity of 120 students. The conference will take place Thursday, October 20th and Friday, October 21st at multiple locations throughout Whitehorse.
Cassandra from YWITT will be teaching young women the basics of carpentry and creating something with the participants in YuKonstruct’s shop.
YuKonstruct members should be aware that the woodshop will be occupied from 9am-3pm on both days. Please come after the conference hours to work on your projects. Thank you!
