Young Women Exploring Trades Conference

Yukon Women in Trades and Technology will be using the Woodshop for a special event.
This year’s Young Women Exploring Trades Conference will be opened to all high school girls from Yukon communities and grade 8 girls from Whitehorse up to a capacity of 120 students. The conference will take place Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16, 2015 at multiple locations throughout Whitehorse.
Meagan Christie will be teaching young women the basics of carpentry and creating something with the participants in YuKonstruct’s shop.
Members should be aware that the woodshop will be occupied from 9am-3pm on October 15th and from 9am-1pm on October 16th. Please come before or after the conference hours to work on your projects.
