Wood Shop Orientation for Members
Get started in the Wood shop by learning how to handle the equipment safely, and how to access and put away the gear. Participants will get hands-on experience with some of the machines.
This training is intended for new Yukonstruct members, and you will also need a new member orientation which is free to attend, sign up here. Not a member? Sign up now by visiting Makespace (entrance near Pho), open 1pm-9pm Wednesday through Sunday or Cospace desk (entrance near 2nd ave) open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Find more info on memberships here.
Completing this orientation gives you access to all of the tools in the woodshop except the lathe and the CNC router. Please take this orientation and sign up for the waitlist if you’re interested in those tools.
Closed-toed shoes are required. Wear clothes that can get dirty.
