Unveiling the Windlass! Yukon Transportation Museum

Come visit the windlass that was created at Makespace in partnership with the Yukon Transportation Museum! It is very similar to the one used on The Burns Tramway on the Chilkoot Trail during the Klondike Gold Rush. You’ll get the chance to use it to move a sled across the museum, much like the miserable volunteers that did so during the Gold Rush!

Admission is by donation at this event, with charitable receipts offered for donations over 10$.
Yukon Brewery has sponsored this event and there will be beer available by donation! There will also be light snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments available for all visitors.
