Halloween lovers, spooky people and costume enthusiasts! In celebration of the spookiest month of the year, we have a workshop for you!

In a special Young Maker Club session, we are offering young people (12 – 18 years) the opportunity to participate in this unique hands-on workshop session! While a parent or guardian is not required for participants, they are welcome to attend in support, with their own ticket.

Join special effects makeup artist Ammanda Partridge for a 2-day intensive on prosthetic applications and SFX makeup! Ever wanted to learn the skills behind characters or gore in your favourite films, tv and theatre? Now’s your chance!

In this course, participants will learn the foundational skills of SFX makeup, including designing and sculpting their own prosthetic pieces, correctly molding and casting the pieces in silicone, preparing prosthetics for application, painting and matching skin-tones, and applying prosthetics. Participants will also learn the process behind blood rigging and fake blood application!

Please wear enclosed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. This workshop contains simulated blood and gore, please consider if this workshop is right for you before booking.
