Have you ever wanted to cut your own designs in metal? With our CNC [Computer Numerical Control] plasma cutter table you can cut through up to half an inch of steel plate!
This orientation is required for members to use the plasma cutter independently, but non-members are welcome to join as well.
Using up to half of a square foot of steel, each participant will be able to make custom house numbers or a similar simple design such as a welcome sign to keep. Consider preparing a vector file ahead of time and bringing it on a USB flash drive if you are creating something different.
Closed-toe shoes and non-synthetic (cotton, denim) long pants and long-sleeve clothing are required for this training session. Participants may wish to bring their own leather gloves and protective #3-#5 shaded eyewear, otherwise we will have some on hand to lend.
About the instructor: Jeramy (they/them) is a Journeyman steamfitter, CWB [Canadian Welding Bureau] welding supervisor and welder by trade, has been doing metalwork for over 25 years.
