Mighty Machines Summer Camp Ages 8-11

Mon 18 Jul 9:00 am

Mon 18 Jul 3:30 pm

This Camp will run from  9:00 am (8:30 am early drop off) – 3:30 pm (4:00 pm late pick up) on July 18-22

Imaginations will run wild as campers discover the exciting applications of mechanical engineering! Starting with step-by-step builds to introduce each of the simple machines, learners eventually advance their way to constructing their creations. They will investigate levers, pulleys, hydraulics, and inclined planes, and enhance critical thinking skills while building upon existing knowledge every day of camp. Campers will build exciting, simple, and compound machines that solve real-world problems. Campers will learn the importance of engineering and how it influences today’s society while being amazed at the structures designed and created during Simple Machines Camp!

With a passion for youth and science, our Maker Mentors recognize your child’s uniqueness and foster their creative side. Maker Mentors are trained to have students focus on the why and discover the logic behind the activity instead of following a prescriptive set of instructions. With a 5 to 1 child-to-staff ratio and a focus on collaborative problem solving, our classes are designed for your child to actively participate.

Mighty Machines is powered by Northwestel.
