About the instructor:
Stephen was born in and raised in London, England and managed to get his first degree in Chemical Engineering — but he didn’t let that hold him back! With a passion for the outdoors, he left the UK in 1995 and moved first to Alaska where he became a High School teacher before following a wonderful woman to Whitehorse, arriving here in 2000.
Since that time he has become a father and obsessive fly fisher and fly tyer! The father part is life changing and the fly fishing part life improving — a great combination. Education has always been part of his life — from teaching adult education classes in London in the 80’s, to high school students in Fairbanks Alaska in the 90’s — it gives him the chance to share what he knows, and learn just as much in return.
Seeing students embrace a new hobby and get as excited about it as he does is such a fantastic experience and he does all he can in all his classes to encourage fun, exploration and enjoyment!
