Nasrin Golzadeh, Mitacs Business Development Director: Nasrin received her master’s degree in “Environmental Sciences” from Université du Québec À Montréal in 2014. She completed her Ph.D. program at McGill University in “Toxicology, conducting a community-led research on concentrations of contaminants and nutrients in traditional foods of a First Nation community in Alberta, Canada. Having worked in both academic and industrial settings for 12+ years in the energy sector and environmental sciences/management, she will make a significant contribution to building relationships and fostering research to find solutions to industry-specific problems and participate in the economic growth of the Yukon.
Annika Rosanowski, Mitacs Business Development Specialist: With a Ph.D. in English, Annika has supported students in writing research proposals and developing projects at the University of Alberta, Athabasca University, and the University of British Columbia. She brings a background in grant writing and community-engaged research to her role as a Business Development Specialist at Mitacs.
Mohamed Beliad, Mitacs Business Associate: Mohamed holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Earned an MBA in Sustainable Innovation in August 2022 from the University of Victoria. He has extensive research proposal development and review expertise, he established industry-university partnerships in research and training, and a strong global network of business and professional contacts. In his academic experience, he taught various engineering subjects, developed curriculums, supervised students, and conducted research in chemical engineering for more than 20 years. In addition to supervising over 100 undergraduate and honors projects to completion, Mohamed has also supervised postgraduate students at the master’s, Ph.D., and postdoctoral levels.
