Code: Mobile from Ladies Learning Code is coming to Whitehorse this summer! On Sunday August 7th, gather your friends and family and join the traveling code team and YuKonstruct for an afternoon of code learning!
Workshop description: From YouTube, to Wikipedia, to Google… the websites we click on every single day all have one thing in common – HTML and CSS! Together, we’ll explore the basics of coding in HTML and CSS by first hacking pre-existing text and images and customizing colours and fonts in a pre-built template. Then, you will have the opportunity to add additional elements and customizations to make the website their very own! By the end of the workshop, you will have developed a great understanding of how the web is made, and will have a one-page site of your own!
Laptops will be supplied and there are up to 20 available so we have space for plenty to learn!
