Cyberpunk ball returns for Maker Faire 2026!

Makespace will once again be transformed into a high-tech wonderland, bathed in blacklight and neon, and pulsating with dystopian beats and futuristic visions.

While costumes aren’t mandatory, they are certainly encouraged to truly inhabit this vibrant, urban world!

Not sure where to start? We’ve got you! Whether you’re going for dark and punky, circuit-y and cyborg-y, or a futuristic fatale, our Cyberpunk Community Costume Night will get you kitted up and ready to hit the dance floor!

Tickets to this event includes outfit supplies (listed below), use of Makespace equipment, and a beverage courtesy of Yukon Brewing!

What to bring?

• Base layers (trousers, leggings, singlets, t-shirts)

• Accessories (sunglasses, hats, belts etc.)

• Jewellery (necklaces, earrings etc)

• Shoes

• Broken or torn garments that you’d otherwise throw out.

• Anything else that you want to elevate with Cyberpunky-goodness!

We’ll be providing:

• Glow-in-the-dark fabric paint

• Recycled circuitry and PCB pieces

• UV & Blacklight-reactive fluorescent tape

• Glow-in-the-dark hot glue sticks

• Glow-in-the-dark rhinestones and adhesives

• LEDs and basic circuitry components for the more adventurous costume ideas!

• Sewing machines and basic sewing supplies

While we welcome participants of all ages to make a Cyberpunk costume at this event, please note that the Cyberpunk Ball event is 19+.
