Workshop presented by Screen Production Yukon Association (SPYA).
Production and Post Production techniques are known as the craft of filmmaking. In this hands on two day workshop participants will have an introduction to various crafts used by filmmakers to give their projects different styles and visual tones. Day one will consist of an overview of Pre Production and Production design methods and theories used by filmmakers to create style. The majority of the day will be a hands on workshop where participants will implement design techniques and use camera, lighting , and grip equipment to create a short promo piece exhibiting a specific visual style. Day two will cover how Pre Production planning and Post Production techniques and tools finalize the design and look of a film. Participants will learn how editing, visual effects, computer graphics, and colour correction add the final elements of tone and style to a film.
The Course will be instructed by Neil Macdonald, and Jayden Soroka. Participants will have the opportunity to work with the RED Epic and SONY FS7 cameras, and a variety of SPYA Camera, Grip, and Lighting equipment.

8am – 7pm Saturday March 14 and Sunday March 15 @ YuKonstruct: 135 Industrial Rd.
Fee – $100
The course is limited to 12 participants.
You must be a current paid SPYA member to attend ($10 fee to become a member). SPYA Plus and Premium members receive a 15% discount.
