Have you ever wanted to cut your artwork out of metal? With our plasma table you can cut through half an inch of steel plate!
This class is required for members to use the plasma cutter, but non-members are welcome to join as well. Each participant receives a 12″x6″ steel plate to cut their artwork into.
Bring your own black and white image, vector graphics, or just a word that speaks to you!
Closed-toe shoes and non-flammable, non-synthetic clothing are required for this training session. Participants may wish to bring their own leather gloves and protective #3-#5 shaded eyewear.
About the instructor: Shawn has been welding and operating oxy-fuel and plasma tables for 14 years in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Yukon. Most of his manufacturing experience has been with the mining industry, but he has also been designing commercial and residential projects with CAD programs in the most recent years. He currently works for Education, but still keeps busy in his free time by taking on small renovations around Whitehorse.
