A heartfelt thank you goes out to the incredible individuals who are serving on the Yukonstruct Board of Directors this upcoming term. Your commitment, expertise, and passion for our organization are deeply appreciated, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together.

Hello Yukonstruct,
Your new Board is actively working in service of Yukonstruct. We represent a diversity of volunteer Board members, with valuable skill sets and backgrounds to navigate future opportunities. After the June AGM, we held an orientation workshop in August, reviewed Board business, activated committees, and are planning governance improvements.
We are grateful to our recent funding commitment from the Government of Canada, and are evaluating our strategic plan against a dynamic landscape.
The Board is grateful for our staff’s hard work and dedication. We appreciate those who continue with the organization and welcome our new staff.
John Glynn-Morris (serving in the role of Board President)
Newly Elected Board of Directors

Chris O’Brien
Vice President
Chris is a Whitehorse-based management consultant working out of Yukonstruct’s Cospace, where he helps organizations grow through business modelling, financial analysis, strategic management, and research. A returning Board member, Chris previously served on the Executive during the pivotal transition to the 2nd Avenue facility. With a deep-rooted belief in supporting his community, he’s passionate about advancing Yukonstruct’s evolution and long-term financial resilience.
Jaime Mellott
Director
Jaime and her family moved to Whitehorse in 2019 from Pender Island, BC.
She is interested in serving on the Board for a few reasons: she supports Yukonstruct’s mission (her family has made good use of the makerspace); she believes that tech can help overcome barriers to access to justice (including access to public services); and she values the chance to spend time with like-minded people. Jaime is organized and enjoys teaching. She has a course at YukonU called Admin Law for Advocates.

Norman McIntyre
Treasurer
Norman is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Whitehorse with Crowe Mackay. He has been on the Yukonstruct board for 3 years as treasurer and has many years of financial experience in the non-profit, for-profit business, and government sectors of the Yukon economy.
Norman is familiar with the various communities in the Yukon and has a good understanding of the Yukon First Nation Final and Self-government agreements.
Tarek Bos
Vice President
Tarek is an experienced entrepreneur with expertise in business scaling, grant writing, financial system restructuring, business accountability, and sales. Tarek is the former CEO of ColdAcre Food Systems.
Tarek has participated in programs such as Incubate North, the Trade Accelerator Program in Edmonton, and the Launchspace Bootcamp. In 2020, Tarek was inducted into Yukonstructs Hall of Innovators and received the Notable Innovators Award. His work with ColdAcre is currently on display at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.

Every Board member brings a unique set of experiences, perspectives, and expertise that will surely push us toward greater success. Once again, thank you, and congratulations to our new Board of Directors!
