What’s on your playlist right now?
No playlist, but I still listen to “old school” CDs on my road trips to and from Whitehorse that my friend who was a DJ, burned for me over 20 years ago. Handwritten on it is “pure cheese” in all its 80’s glory.
What is one thing that you look forward to every season?
I look forward to a good snowfall (within reason), so I can get out snowshoeing with my friends and our adorable dogs.
When someone from out of town comes to visit, what is something you always do or prepare to eat?
If someone comes to town, I make sure I take them on the 9th Ave Trail, just steps behind my home, and out for Halibut fish and chips at the Eldorado Hotel if it happens to be on a Friday. It’s the best Halibut fish and chips in the Yukon, hands down. Fight me.
Name one or two Yukoners you are influenced by, and why?
I don’t think I can think of one Yukoner that has influenced me..there have been so many that have impacted my time here in different ways. I have to say that the Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners in Dawson got it going on, and I have admired them for DECADES!
If you could have a superpower, what would you choose and why?
Hmmm, superpower…telepathy I think – help stop people pause to think about potentially disastrous decisions before they say or do something they will regret. I don’t want people to live with regret – it can be crippling and rob so much potential from people.
What are one or more superpowers that you DO have, that have helped with your business?
My superpowers? I think my multi-tasking and networking abilities – helping people navigate systems so they can find each other and help support each other.
Thanks for sharing, Lue. It was fun!
