Part expo for vagabonds, part car camping showcase, the Van Slam on September 20 was a great success! 43 people attended the Van Slam to tour 6 modified vehicles, a tear-drop trailer, and a Winnebago turned food truck.
Highlights included Sarah’s ingenious compartmentalization of ‘Fran the Van’ – there’s even a wine rack in there!
The solar electricity hook up and the plumbing system on Andrew and Alessia’s ‘Firebus’ are technological inspirations and Steve’s teardrop trailer keeps getting better every time we see it.
Garlic a Go-Go served up delicious shawarma and fries and let us know that yes, that really is a truck canopy welded on top of a Winnebago.
Better than the tours was the chance to bounce ideas around with fellow adventurers, leaving everyone with ideas for future modifications aplenty.
