January’s Build Night was sponsored by Instructables and Makey Makey.
Makey Makey is an invention kit that lets you use everyday items as computer keys. YuKonstruct’s members had lots of fun connecting fruits and vegetables, utensils, tools and even themselves to the Makey Makey boards. There were apple and carrot pianos, pencil-drawn video game consoles and bongos played on people’s heads. One young maker turned a potato into a computer mouse and another member built an interactive maze game with a record player.
Next month’s Instructables Build Night will be using the Circuit Scribe, so be sure to join us for more fun with easy electronics!
