We had a booth at the recent YukomiCon 2014 event on August 8, 9 & 10 – it was lots of fun!
YukomiCon is the Yukon’s first ever convention dedicated to comics and popular culture. With over 800 people through the convention centre doors over the course of the weekend, we’d say the Yukon Comic Culture Society put on a very successful event!
Our booth featured lots of interactive and fun activities like 3D printing your favourite character, a costume repair and creation station, and a drafting table to draw your own comics. We met lots of makers who said they could use a space like YuKonstruct to make their next costume, repair their battle armour or even create their own 3D characters!
We met lots of new faces, participated in some of the gaming tournaments, and even met Kevin Sorbo!
We look forward to coming again next year for YukomiCon 2015!
